Monopoly and Price Controls

Starting in 1975, the Company was declared a monopoly in production of some of its products. In accordance with this declaration, which was revised on 20 November 2006, the monopoly remains in effect for all-use seam pipes with diameters greater than 16 inches. In the case of pipes for construction and transportation of industrial fluids, the monopoly applies only to seam pipes with diameters greater than 6 inches.

All prices of seam pipes with diameters greater than 6” are controlled under the Price Stability (Commodities and Services) law.
