Metco operates a professional and sophisticated metallurgical laboratory with some of the most advanced equipment available. The laboratory team is made up of professionals with years of experience in execution of metallurgical and mechanical tests, welding quality tests, and certification of welding processes. As such, the laboratory is able to conduct tensile stress tests, elongation tests, bending tests, hardness tests, impact tests and chemical composition tests.

Furthermore, it is also able to conduct various welding tests – seams, penetration, filling, welding crawlers.

The laboratory includes various advanced instrumentation such as a spectrometer, a tensile testing machine, elongation meters, a -40°C cooler for impact models, a comparator and microscope.
